We ordered the Salt & Shrimp Pepper, Lemongrass Fish, and Pho Veggie. The shrimp was crispy with a bold flavor, though slightly salty, but pairing it with the red sauce balanced it nicely. The Lemongrass Fish was outstanding--the texture was perfect, and the flavors were incredibly delicious. The Pho Veggie exceeded our expectations and was definitely worth the price. The service was satisfactory, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere added to the experience, offering a cozy and charming vibe. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and I'd recommend it to vegan enthusiasts looking to try something new.

It's been a long time coming. My first experience with Au Lac was the OC location. I've only had the raw items at both locations and wasn't too fond of the stuff I had in the OC but saw LA offered a different menu. The standout item was the It burrito. By standout, I mean the item that caught my eye while reading the menu. Because it's rare to find a raw burrito. I had to try it. This place is kinda tucked away in a plaza that doesn't have the greatest parking situation. First attempt at coming see, I couldn't find it and gave up. This time, I took public transit and that was easier. As you can see, the ambience is nice and lovely. I was short on time but would've loved to bask in it more. The burrito was everything. Seriously, I could easily eat it any day in place of a regular burrito. It really hit the soul and was everything I needed and hoped it would be

Very nice ambience, and a perfect place to dine before seeing a show at the Music Center or Walt Disney Concert Hall. The food was EXCELLENT. The Laab salad is probably my favorite salad ever. I love the sauce and the incredible mix of ingredients. Delicious and bright and light. The paella was also just stunning. The tastes are so intricate, and really a perfect blend of fresh and healthy and tasty ingredients. The Garlic Noodles were delicious. Next time, we're going to substitute the vegan sausage (which was very good) with mushrooms to fit our preference more. Overall, very impressed with this meal. Definitely coming back here again!

So good! I just visited and had the most delicious lemongrass fish! The plate was like a mini buffet with a small pickled salad, a soup, the forbidden rice, and the fish. I love how they made a fish filet by covering a soy patty (?) In nori. I am still dreaming about how good it tasted! Everything was amazing. The serving was quite large. I ate half at dinner and the other half later. It was delicious both times! My friend scarfed down his raw Ito Buritto, so I know he thought it was great. Our server also gave high praise to the raw menu items and suggested that we try all of them. Inside the restaurant is quite nice. There is a beautiful ambience while still being pretty casual. This was the perfect place to meet my friend before seeing a show at the Disney Concert Hall. We arrived at 6pm and were seated immediately, but when we were leaving around 7:15pm, there was a line out the door. The service was very friendly. It was definitely better when we first got there. As the night went on, they got busier, so the servers were less attentive (because they were busier). I can't wait to go back and try EVERYTHING. My friend had been there before, mostly pre-Covid, and said it was the best place to eat near the concert hall. We're both vegetarian, so of course we love the fact that it's an all vegan place!

First time back in many years, ordered the old favorites -- salt and pepper shrimp was great as before. The crimini pesto, on the other hand, was a huge letdown with zero pesto and tasted like regular sauteed mushroom that I cook at home. I complained to our server and he also liked the old recipe better. The siu mai and BBQ 'pork' roll were unqualified winners in the 'fake-but-looks-and-tastes-like-real-meat' category. The pork roll, dipped in peanut sauce, was especially addictive. We also ordered "Jade Juice", a very refreshing smoothie of spinach, kale, coconut juice, etc. that tastes better than it sounds, I promise.

Trying new menu items this time, so we went with the bbq pork rolls, lemongrass fish, yellow noodle soup, and a green salad. The pork rolls pretty much collapse before even taking a bite, then leaving a mouth full of somewhat bland veggies; even after using the provided dipping sauce. We probably wouldn't order these again. And the flavor of the lemongrass fish is definitely enhanced, with help from the side of broth that comes with it. Drizzle some over the dry side of black rice as well; you'll thank me for it. The house salad is always fresh and tasty but the yellow noodle soup was the standout this night, well seasoned and very flavorful. I had ordered it a few years back. My ruby juice was a different treat; watermelon, mint, beet, and pineapple. And as always, an extremely friendly staff in a beautiful setting.
